PhotonicGuard is a European post-quantum cybersecurity company with a clear mission: protect the world’s digital infrastructure before quantum computers make today’s encryption obsolete.
The threat is real. Shor’s algorithm demonstrated decades ago that a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could break RSA and ECC — the cryptographic foundations underlying virtually all of our digital economy. PhotonicGuard exists to close that window of vulnerability.
What they offer
PhotonicGuard’s product portfolio covers the full stack of post-quantum security:
- Post-Quantum Encryption — cryptographic libraries built on lattice-based algorithms (NTRU and others), compatible with existing infrastructures so the migration is smooth rather than a full replacement.
- Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) — systems based on the BB84 protocol that use quantum mechanical principles to guarantee secure key exchange, with both fiber-optic and satellite-based options for long-range communication.
- QuantumVault — a decentralized key lifecycle management platform covering generation, storage, distribution, and compliance auditing.
- Specialized Hardware — QRNGs (Quantum Random Number Generators), post-quantum HSMs, and quantum-property-based authentication devices.
They also offer professional services: risk assessments, transition roadmaps, implementation support, technical training, and security auditing against quantum-capable adversaries.
The stablecoin product
One of the more ambitious products in the pipeline is a post-quantum safe stablecoin transfer platform — arguably the first of its kind. The idea is to combine the efficiency of blockchain-based stablecoins with post-quantum resistant cryptography, making financial transactions future-proof from day one.
The landing site
I built and maintain the PhotonicGuard marketing site using Astro 6 and Tailwind CSS 4, deployed on Cloudflare Workers. The site supports 15 languages (English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, Hindi, Indonesian, Russian, Turkish, and Chinese), with a fully custom i18n system. It’s optimized for performance and global reach, reflecting the international scope of PhotonicGuard’s ambitions.
